The Golden Mill, A Piece of Local History
The Golden Mill was not always the hang out spot in town that it has become today. Believe it or not, this hub for social gatherings was originally founded as a flour mill back in 1864. The millers hauled and sold flour to nearby mining towns like Black Hawk, Central City, Georgetown, and Idaho Springs. It then morphed into a livestock feed store in 1954, which was nearly 100 years later!
In 2018, when The Golden Mill Feed Store was put up for sale and our owners knew the building had the potential to become something bigger. We saved the local iconic landmark together to “do something great for the Golden community.” Thus, one of the best food halls/restaurants in Golden, CO was created.
