Bill McKay is a keyboardist, vocalist, and songwriter celebrated for his contributions to rock, blues, and jam band music. In 1995, he joined the Derek Trucks Band as lead singer and keyboardist, touring and recording with the group for five years. During this period, he performed alongside notable artists such as Gregg Allman and Warren Haynes. In 2000, McKay joined Leftover Salmon, contributing to their unique blend of bluegrass, rock, and Cajun influences for the next decade. His dynamic keyboard skills and soulful vocals have made him a respected and influential figure in the American music scene.
